October 31st.

Have a Happy and Safe Hallowe'en!

Hallowe'en happens to be one of my favourite holidays, and this year's celebration has been pretty swell so far (aside from the whole downing a margarita after not eating anything all day... I quickly ate my weights worth of shrimp cocktail and felt much better, but try not to follow in my footsteps)!
Tonight I am carving my pumpkin (I haven't had the time to do mine yet!!!), watch our traditional movies (Arsenic and Old Lace, Practical Magic, and Sleepy Hallow), eat candy, and some yummy pumpkin goulash!
What are your holiday plans? What was your Costume? I'll post mine tomorrow!!

Pumpkin Patchin'

After the Farmer's Market on Saturday, my whole family headed up to the Pumpkin Patch to go pick pumpkins. This place is really wonderful and fun, but I hate those cheap carnival "rides" they have (I blame it on Disneyland snobbery), and the people they attract. Rude parents and kids test my patience and I was kind of over it after an hour or two, but not all hope was lost. I got me a Candy Cane Iced Coffee (there is a part of me that is ridiculously amused by a cold Christmas-y drink!), and found some mini pumpkins to delight in! And it was a really beautiful day! It was the first day of true Autumnal weather (i.e. not in the upper 80's-high90's!). Infact it was such a beautiful day that I didn't edit these photos at all. What you see is what we saw, it was pretty swell!

This is how Eric spent most of his time in these things, which I think were completely ridiculous.

Farmer's Market

(excuse the absense! I have no idea where this week went!)

Last Saturday my mom, Chelsea, Grace, and I went to the Downtown Farmer's Market. It was really nice. It's not terribly big (there are much better ones around here, but we'd never been to this one before), but had pleanty of interesting things to keep us all entertained. It was a nice and gloomy morning and we all had large coffees (even Grace!) and it was just lovely. I think food has got to be one of the most photogenic things on the planet. Next to Gracie of course...

My mom thinks I should start a street style feature for Riverside. When we were there we saw ONE girl with a pair of boots to die for and a really cute funky style. This picture is my argument against this idea.

Monday Inspiration #40: Hello Autumn

Today is wonderfully gloomy and grey, and all I can think about is getting out of work to go frolic in the cool
weather. I spent the weekend doing wonderfully autumnal things (which I'll tell you all about later on), and now I'm very excited to finish my fall wardrobe (and the scarf I'm knitting which is becoming obnoxiously long!).This is the pallet I want to play with for autumn; reds, and cranberry, brown and green, eggplant and golds. I also want a lot of soup and coffee. And a caramel apple. I have one waiting for me at home tonight! Hurry up 5 o'clock!
I haven't played around with Polyvore in such a long time, I forgot how addicting and fun it is!

See those boots? $300. I am saving my pennies to buy them!
Also Fleet Foxes's music pretty much embodies Fall.

However these boots are $40 at Urban Outfitters.... So tempting!
