Corvallis Thrifting

Patterns!

While my family was still up here we stopped by a few thrift stores in town to check them out. The Corvallis Goodwill is a strange place. Their clothes are SOOO over priced for the most part, but they randomly have great prices on pretty much everything else. I found a wool Pendleton Skirt there for $7, and come winter it will be a staple (but I need to de-cigarette smoke-ify it first!)! But I did find these two patterns there. The swimsuit is super cute!

We also went to the ST. Vincent DePaul's in the next town over. Holy. Crap guys! All their vintage patterns were 29 cents! I've never paid less than a dollar for one back home! I kinda bought a lot. My favourites are the embroidery transfers!! I've seen them online and always wanted a few and now I have five! Yipee! I also picked up some metal zippers while there. I found a bag of them at Goodwill too.

The best find though was a vintage 50's poodle skirt that totally fits Grace. I found it in the Halloween section (don't get me started on that) and had to rescue it! The little umbrellas! The rain drops! If it had fit me, I'd have never taken it off! So cute!!! (and I totally forgot to get a picture of it before they left!) My mom also found some great stuff too, and before they left town she and my dad spent like two hours there and bought so much that they had to re-pack the car and trailer... So overall The thrifting in Corvallis is at about an A- for me. There's a couple other ones I haven't checked out yet that I'm hoping to get to either tomorrow or Friday, we'll see what they've got in store! I'm really wanting to find a tweed blazer, so fingers crossed!
