Back to S-Kool

Back to S-kool

Hello, hello, hello!!!! Did ya miss me? I miss you!!! Goodness two weeks without blogging feels very funny. I hope you all enjoyed the lovely guest posts over the last two weeks! Thank you again to all the ladies who posted, I'll be sending you each a little something in the next week or so (so be sure to send my your address if you haven't already!).

But I am here!! I meant to post this morning before I left for my classes, but, well, I kinda decided to make a dress yesterday, and I spent his morning finishing it. So yeah. But it's cute! More on that in a bit though. So how are you all?! I am good! I'll be posting more about my trip up here later this week but for now you get a sneak peak at my room. I haven't quite figured out a good photo spot since this place is tiny! I'll show you guys the rest of my place once I clean it. Sewing in tiny spaces man... It makes a mess!

Anyways, so far I really like my classes! I had music history and music theory today as well as an audition for various vocal ensembles (which was an interesting experience where I giggled, forgot my lyrics, gave the ENTIRE vocal faculty a lecture on the etymology of my email address, apologized for talking too much, and apparently did very well...). So now I am done for the day. I think I'll do some laundry, clean my room and maybe check out some of the town. I haven't met too many people here yet so maybe I'll find a rave and party it up. I'm sorry, I couldn't even say that with a straight face. I also need more coffee.

As for the dress here's the story: Sorbetto sans pleat bodice cut to cut under my bust, attach a wide waistband, dart he sides, and under the bust, attach self-drafted skirt, forget to attach pockets so now you have to un pick the sides, run out of fabric for the sleeves, so leave armholes undone to fix that later on, decide that 11pm is a good time to scallop a hem, finish neck hole and hem in the morning et voila, you now have a first day of school dress. I wore it with a cardigan for now until I finish the sleeves, a pink beret, and maroon tights, but the rain cleared up and it just got way too hot for them! But I seriously love this dress! I based it kinda off of this one. I actually was just going to wear something else until I saw this lovely lady's post yesterday and decided that it was a sign from above. I am quite happy with it!
