Hello, I am Ashley, I did not want to take photos after I got home from work, but had already written the blog post. This is my charmingly annoyed face.

I bought the dress a good three months ago. I intended to wear it on my trip North, but due to a series of reasons I never did. I've actually only worn it maybe three times since I first received it, but I do in fact love it. The cheery print and lightweight fabric (it's rayon) all make it a perfect summer dress. But my favourite part of this dress is the back. The cut out and double bow effect are the kind of subtle details that send my heart aflutter. However there are a few things that I would change, like the length. I'm not a fan of mini length skirts generally, and since this dress is just a tad too tight in the waist, it tends to hike up even more. It also makes finding a slip to wear underneath a bit of a pain. But despite those things, I really do love it. I think it's even on sale right now.

I tried a new to me way of "setting" my hair. If you follow my facebook page, you may have seen the silly webcam photo I posted last night along with a link to the tutorial. This Pretty Lady led me to the tutorial and I have to say, I quite like the results! The back didn't come out perfectly, but I think I messed that up. But my curls lasted all day without any product! I really hate hair product and try to avoid it as much as possible. With the exception of hairspray I've pretty much eliminated it, altogether. However the last few months I've had really bad luck with hair sets. I couldn't tell if it was from the shampoo I had started using or the fact that I didn't use hair product anymore, but even after spraying my curls down with Aquanet, they were limp in about an hour. I changed shampoos again (this stuff, I LOVE it.), so maybe that is partly why these came out so well, but regardless of the reason I will for sure be doing this again. It normally takes me about 45 mins to pin curl all my hair, this takes five. Plus the actually "setting" looks like a cute hairstyle too! This is going to be a lifesaver when school starts. I am sold.
