For those of you who follow my facebook page or Instagram you may recognize this skirt. It was my last project before leaving Corvallis. The fabric is thrifted and vintage that I bought last spring. It's a very lovely rayon and cost me about a dollar. The zipper and snaps were in my stash so this whole thing cost about $2-$3!

I used Butterick 5285 view A, which I've made before. I seriously adore this pattern! It's super simple to put together (and the best part is I went down a size and it's still too big! Yay!)! I ended up wearing this to Portland a week and a half ago. It's a perfect summer skirt!

I've spent the last few days sketching and dreaming of lovely things to sew up. If only I could dig out off of my sewing supplies from the pile of my junk in the living room!

P.S.
A Very happy 23rd Birthday to my darling sis Bri!!

  1. The skirt is darling and I love that it's a DIY project - even better. The shape and print are great. You make me want to break out my sewing machine right now!
