True Blue

When I was about 14 I became obsessed with the idea of letting everyone within a mile radius of me know exactly what to do with me if I were to meet an early demise. My mother did not appreciate any of this. My list of requests ranged from my lower half being mummified, to "read between the lines" tattooed on the fingers on either side of my middle finger. I was really into Egyptian history at the time so there were some further ridiculous requests (though I am still adamant about no fried chicken being served at my funeral. No one wants greasy fingers, and I certainly don't want that to be how I am remembered.). The best one in my opinion was that I wanted to be buried with blue hair. Blue was my favourite colour for much of my childhood, and is still up there on my list of favourite colours. And I have always wanted blue hair. Mostly because then I would be one step closer to actually becoming a Mermaid or a Unicorn at the very least. So now I have mermaid hair. And I love it. And I may have infected other girls with the blue hair fever. They are named Grace and Delaney, and I will get pictures of them soon. Blue hair guys, it's the best thing ever.

*I used Manic Panic dye in After Midnight after I bleached the tips of my hair with a kit I got at Sally's Beauty Supply. Super easy and an awesome way to infuse a little whimsy in your life!
