Our Easter was pretty low-key this year. We're all gearing up for a busy month ahead and no one really wanted to think about all the dishes we'd have to wash. So we went to a brunch at the Highland Springs Resort. We've been there a few times before, and each time fall more in love with this place. Brunch was delicious too! If you live in the So. Cal area definitely check this place out. It does not disappoint!

Later in the day we have an egg hunt for Gracie (and everyone joined in) and Mama made everyone little baskets (yay Starbucks cards!) filled with sweets and a few trinkets. We had croissant sandwiches and watched Vikings. It was a pretty lovely day.

The skirt is another Butterick 5285 view A, same as this one just in brown (obviously). The pockets on this one are cut out of leftover fabric from this dress. I used a vintage zip harvested from the last brown skirt I made, and this vintage metal button that I have no idea how I came to own. For anyone who is a beginner seamstress, I definitely recommend this pattern. It's a great one evening project, and is pretty much the perfect basic skirt. Yay basics!

Also, can we talk about what a great hair day I was having? Seriously though. If my hair was always like that, I'd be a happy camper.
